Spoke to Dawn Berrie this am regarding recapitalization or sale of GTIS. Could not disclose anything definitive but they are actively working with Bear Stearns on either recapitalization or sale of some or all of GTIS. To say there has been keen interest is an understatement. No decision on a deal has been made as yet. A recapitalization of the business is essentially an infusion of outside capital from a substantial partner. There is also strong consideration for the outright sale of the complete business. Least desirable and likely scenario would be to sell off individual studios and properties. I'm leaning to the outright sale based on my feeling from Dawn but it may be weeks before a decision is made. GTIS ability to compete effectively short and long term, and Shareholder value, are the most important elements of GTIS decision. Some 60% of stock is owned by management and insiders. You can bet that they won't be selling the company for anything near the current price level of $3.00. My guesstimate of =>$6.00 stands. I will be accumulating more shares at these levels because of the strength of the underlying assets. Humongous Studios alone could probably fetch $200-225M or $2.75-3.00/share.
