JG, not to be picky, but <g> the estimated index fund buying requirement is 9.1M shares, and Q is offering up to 4.6M shares, so that would leave 4.5M shares to be purchased on the open market. That's 100K fewer shares of demand than you indicated. With Q's daily average volume at 4.317M shares, the open market demand will be slightly over 1 day's normal activity.

BUT, Q has become a larger percentage of the S&P500 market cap in the last day, so the indexers' required number of shares may be larger <vbg>.
