Good earnings reports all around, but then, the market
has come to expect that. Before the open Tuesday, there was a slew of
solid earnings reports. Most notably, Lucent Technologies (LU 76 53/64)
beat the average Wall Street estimate by three cents, and posted a 21%
revenue gain. Texas Instruments (TXN 149 15/16) did even better,
beating the bar by six cents. (~Briefing)

Both of them are down sharply today due to profit-taking.
