Heinz, the more I read and the more I study the market,

the more I think I understand these type of days. I am a real fan of Richard Ney and am convinced that so much of what we see each day is contrived: As the big manipulators lead, the smaller will follow. What a challenge to try to make sense of the herd mentality.

In regards to Chip's point on the poor performance of the brokers in general, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the inordinately poor performance of the group as a whole in the last quarter could be attributed to the exceedingly low trading volumes of the past few months due to interest rate and inflation worries?...lowering revenues and hype. While this group shouldn't be expected to continue on it's meteoric rise forever, I'm guessing that as the investment community continues to adopt this medium, better than average growth from this group in particular could be expected. I also wonder if this will lead to increased liquidity in the markets as more and more investors decide to use discretionary funds on a more regular, albeit risky, basis.

Just some thoughts...

Best Regards,

John
