Personally, I beleive in a cash driven profit sharing program. Simply put, the executive gets a percentage (on a cumulative) of the economic profit generated by his or her actions, whether that profit be negative or positive.

This eliminates nearly all of the conflicts of interest stemming from stock/option compensation plans.
