  LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 1999--Webhire, Inc. (NASDAQ:HIRE), the leader in Internet recruiting solutions, today announced its fiscal third quarter results for the period ended June 30, 1999. 
  Total revenue for the third fiscal quarter of 1999 was $6,146,000 compared to $7,940,000 in the third quarter of fiscal 1998. The third quarter net loss of ($4,950,000) or ($.49) per share compared to net income of $507,000 or $.06 per share for the 1998 period. For the nine months ended June 30, 1999, total revenue was $18,971,000 compared to $22,712,000 for the comparable 1998 period. The net loss for the nine months ended June 30, 1999 was ($10,691,000) or ($1.10) per share, compared to net income of $.10 per share for the nine months ended June 30, 1998.
