Someone please call up a chart and confirm this... Looking at today's decline as roughly 5%, here's the 5% or more daily declines in last ten years. Nov 30 92 Jun 30 93 May 30 95 Jul 18 95 Jul 19 95 (Two days in a row!) Jan 09 96 (I can't read my own writing, but I think it's January) Jul 23 96 Jul 18 97 Sep 15 97 Aug 31 98 Oct 01 98 Nov 25 98 Apr 19 99 Jul 19 99 Interestingly, there were no 5% declines in 1989, 1990, and 1991.
