Pooky, are you serious, or just trying to "keep the party lively"?

Countless postings and any cursory thought on the subject indicate that G* phones will work like regular cell phones in areas that have cell service...OK the 1st generation phones are a little heavier and the battery life is not as good as regular cell phones, but there are several obvious ways to mitigate this problem...all this talk about having to take the phone outside to use it in urban areas is absurd.

"Regions that do not have phones do not have the per capita income to pay $2 for a phone call either"

The risk that statements like this are true is the reason the stock is at 30$, not 90$, IMO, so they should be taken seriously. This risk is about the only one not yet retired by the company. Serious demographic analyses by uninterested third parties cost a bundle and are therefore proprietary; absent them, we have to make investment decisions based on our personal experiences. I can tell you from mine that there are plenty of middle class and better people in poor countries, plenty of people that "can afford" 2$/minute that work in or travel to places without cellular coverage, and plenty of places even in N. America poorly served by existing terrestrial cellular that are frequented by FYUPies and other well off individuals.

When I compare the MSS system capacities and G*s business plan penetration rate (roughly 1M net new subscribers/yr) to the population I judge could benefit from the service and afford it, I conclude the stock s/b closer to $90 than $30. You may disagree.

Well, without disagreements, there would be no stock market and no horse races....Good luck.
