voice service, ExpoLink
Tradelink International Inc announced today that its planned revolution of the enormous trade show, exposition and convention industry will begin with The Exporters/Importers Conference (http://www.gocin.com/exporter) to be held in April 1997 in Miami.
The Exporters/Importers Conference, which is sponsored by over a dozen influential international concerns, including AT&T, Associated Global Systems, The Journal of Commerce, Unibex, and World Trade Magazine, expects nearly 600 exhibitors and 6,000 attendees, who will be the first people to take part in an ExpoLink event.
ExpoLink, the interactive voice application designed by TradeLink to maximize the billions of dollars spent marketing through and attending trade shows, is expected to become the standard for information delivery at special events throughout the U.S. over the next two years, with plans to deploy internationally some time in 1998.
ExpoLink allows exhibitors to expand a short-term convention into a longer-term virtual presence, providing vital and current information before, during and after the show, capturing leads, testing new markets and generating sales. Show organizers can register attendees and exhibitors, provide information, schedule seminars and press conferences and organize their databases through ExpoLink, and can monitor the interest of attendees in particular aspects of their shows for future planning.
Attendees can enjoy the show and seminars while staying in touch with their offices through confidential voice and fax mail and can receive special reports throughout the show from the show organizers. Short-term pagers, made available through TradeLink's subsidiary, Bridgeport Communications, will notify ExpoLink participants of new messages or faxes waiting for them, and pre-paid discount calling cards, also provided by Bridgeport, will make returning phone calls easy and economical.
Richard Herbst, TradeLink's president, stated "We are very excited that The Exporters/Importers Conference will be our first U.S. venture, particularly because of the caliber of the exhibitors, attendees and speakers planned, and because of the commitment of the many corporate sponsors for the show. We believe that ExpoLink will quickly become a service demanded of show organizers, and we are very excited about our opportunity and ability to meet that need, starting with The Exporters/Importers Conference."
ExpoLink is projected to be one of the most profitable projects of TradeLink, with anticipated gross revenue for its first full year estimated to exceed $5 million. Growth during the following two years are hoped to result in annualized gross revenue of at least $30 million from this division alone. TradeLink cautions, however, that these projections are based on a number of assumptions, none of which can be guaranteed.
TradeLink is an interactive communications company dedicated to bringing marketing and communications solutions to domestic and international business.
