Uncle Frank and G+K thread: may I humbly submit a Watch and Wait candidate, ARMHY. Tomorrow early AM this GB/Cambridge based concern will put out qtr. eps report. This company designs RISC processors; the business model is similar to another W+W list member, RMBS. However, I believe the potential for this firm is greater. The designs are licensed by INTC, and 30 other of the world's largest microprocessors producers, and ARMHY's chip are used in 70 % of the worlds production of cellphones, including QCOM's. The company is moving aggressively into licensing for use of it's chips in autos, disc drive controllers, PDA's among many other products. The chip design provides for very high performance, up to 600mhz in some advanced versions, with a power draw in milliwatts. This chip design will be ubiquitous in all mobile/portable devices and all other applications that benefit from lower power/high performance; isn't that just about everything we see as the future for microprocessors? Please consider this as a legitimate candidate, and, of course, conduct DD before investing, should you find this prospect appealing. If it's design is good enough for the Q and INTC, by the way, the first not in-house design produced by INTC, it is good enough for me.
My sincere thanks to the posters on this and the Q thread, through which I have become a avid follower/investor in QCOM. Check out today's Investors Business Daily for a rave review of ARMHY and it's prospects. Regards James |
