Status as of 7/21/1999:

Since my last status report, a lot has happened behind the scenes.

An alliance with a well known publicly traded software vendor was in the final stages of negotiation, with very positive expectations that it would be signed and announced by the end of July. However, that software vendor recently announced that it is being acquired by another publicly traded vendor, thus terminating the discussions. We now have to start all over with the acquiring firm, but that probably won't happen until after the acquisition is completed. Sometimes, things just don't work out according to plan.

A marketing alliance with another vendor has been approved by them and by us, and will be announced when both firms approve the content of the Press Release.

The Planet City Casino at planetcitycasino.com is still in Beta test. If you would like to register to play Las Vegas casino games for free, please check it out. The graphics are fun, and are consistent with our corporate "planet" personality.

Activities associated with forming a new division of the company are progressing faster than originally expected. We should be able to announce it by Summer's end.

We are pursuing a couple of large Y2K remediation contracts on foreign soil. It's too early in the sales cycle to predict whether we will be successful in landing them.

I made live appearances on more radio shows, with the primary focus being the Millennium Bug Compliance Kit (MBCK). The most notable show was an hour with "Dr. Computer" on his nationally syndicated Saturday morning show. You may check out his website and listen to live broadcasts at drcomputer.net .

MBCK Version 5.0 is now in Beta test. Several people responded to our request for testers, and they received the Beta product via download on a first-come, first-served basis. The product is performing well during Beta testing, with only a couple of bugs being reported. It will be in General Availability status as of August 1. It will retail for $49.95, and we will provide upgrades to existing MBCK users for $29.95.

The product has been Internationalized. We will soon have foreign language versions available in French, German, Italian, and Spanish. This will open up international markets to us.

The new version has a much improved interface to the Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) vendor Y2K compliance information. The MBCK automatically determines the product names, the vendor names, and the release numbers for all registered software on the user's machine. It provides a PC resident version of the COTS database, and also provides automated access to multiple internet resident COTS databases. These databases are frequently updated with new information by the vendors, so providing access to multiple databases increases the user's chance of obtaining the most up to date information available.

MBCK Version 5.0 will also contain an innovative open-architecture feature which will allow third party developers to provide scanner/remediators for those proprietary data file types that are not currently supported by our product (Note: MBCK 5.0 will support Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visual Basic, and generic text files). This feature will allow developers to "plug-in" their proprietary data file fixers to the rest of our product's functionality, such as the hardware fix (BIOS, Operating System, and Real Time Clock fixes) and our Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) facility.

We will provide MBCK purchasers with no-cost access to the third party developed data file scanner/remediators via our website. This open-architecture feature is unique in the PC Y2K tools industry. By providing an open architecture that allows third party updates without requiring users to purchase an entirely new product, we will be providing our clients with a cost effective method to Y2K remediate their PCs. And, we will be providing a low cost entry to developers wishing to provide their proprietary data fixers to the public. The developers may treat their extensions as freeware, as shareware, or as conventional resale software.

Developers interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should contact me via email at terrydennis@planetcity.com . We will provide you, at no cost, the technical specifications required to "plug-in" to our product.

Shareholders should rest assured that we are working diligently to build a solid base of operations from which Planet City will grow to become a sole source provider of quality software and services. To do these things correctly takes time. Thank you for bearing with us as we solidify our operations. I think loyal shareholders will appreciate the upcoming announcements.

A "Safe Harbor" statement follows my signoff.

Regards,

TED
