My newborn is enjoying a 3:30 snack right now while I finish this message.

One of the silly things I hear from LSI is what a great company they were because they were able to make a decision on purchasing Symbios over a mere weekend once symbios became available. What a pile folks! The reason you were able to move so "quickly" was because Adaptec beat you to the punch in the first place, and either outbid or outquicked you for a what turned out to be a superior purchase--hardly the sort of corporate effort I would go around boasting about.

You bet I remember your piece about "Good LSI v Bad LSI" It was outstanding.

And the P/S is rather simplistic. I am working on a much more appropo calculus as well, but the P/S stuff is still appropo for LSI because it does address the issue of valuation versus other companies. How for example, does one value the technology (as opposed to sales) of a company like Juniper?

Coreware was reported as recently being 30%, so if one looks to the past, you are correct.

If you got into FC last summer, you made a very wise decision. It's clearly a superb growth area.

For the first time in a long time, LSI has credibility, and it will be interesting to hear how reticent or forthcoming they are at this conference call.
