Mostly true, except that it is often a deflating experience for some of these people to work on Capitol Hill. I have known people with a boatload of vanity and ambition who have bailed out of politics into business after an internship on the Hill, and it is not unusual to find someone sufficiently disillusioned that he or she prefers not to talk about what it was like in any detail...
