First : only one of the mentioned stocks is a biotech, but the other is of equal risk in the software bus. I hope you are right about your predictable pattern. My point is that I think the risk in some of these large cap companies is highly underated. You have a false sense of security based on a long running bull market. Good luck. Where was I? Buying these stocks - then selling them. I am liquid now, with less than 15% of my money in the market. 5% puts on these and other companies. I have done well and have the cash, houses etc. All owned to show. I suggest many young investors take care here - you are buying an old story. I think MSFT has peaked out. Simple as that. So I will not buy it. The two little companies I mentioned were just to get a point across about market psychology. When MSFT was cheap, had large growth potential, and was therefore a greater risk; then it was interesting. Is that the case now? I buy stocks with a target, when they reach the price I sell. MSFT went past the target.
Almost forgot SEVL - currently has a deal going with MSFT & DIS - take a look at the interactive doll coming out this fall.
