[NASDAQ:COMS] has announced the shipment of new OfficeConnect remote access capabilities and the introduction of new enterprise routing and hub products. The new additions to 3Com's OfficeConnect line include: the OfficeConnect Remote Access Server 1000; the OfficeConnect NETBuilder 11x enterprise routers; and the OfficeConnect Hub TP16C product.
The company says the OfficeConnect Remote Access Server 1000 device is based on its AccessBuilder remote access platforms, and is designed for small offices that "want to enable their mobile workers and work-at-home employees with access to the office local area network (LAN). The device offers two open PC Card slots, and allows users to install a mix of analog and/or high-speed integarted services digital network (ISDN) technologies for dial-in/dial-out communications.
The OfficeConnect Remote Access Server 1000 begins shipping in early May at a list price of $1,195.
The company says the OfficeConnect NETBuilder routers have been designed for extensions of the corporate intranet, and come equipped with one Ethernet port and one FlexWAN serial port. OfficeConnect NETBuilder router additions begin shipping in May with list prices starting at $895 for the OfficeConnect NETBuilder 11x router and $1,495 for both the OfficeConnect NETBuilder 12x and 14x products.
The OfficeConnect Hub TP16C is an unmanaged 16-port 10BaseT hub, which is shipping now at an approximate street price of $255. |
