A look into the future: Go to Metaspy. When it loads, there is an animated advertisement that runs before Metaspy kicks in. It is similar to a commercial. Do you see any functional differences between this ad and an AOL pop-up window (except that it is cooler)? GNET, like many other portals, will use gateway ads as precursors to services. It will be something we'll come to expect (and maybe even enjoy, if they are good) on our web pages. Bandwidth is the key that will make this happen. The internet will be the TV of tomorrow. What I like about GNET is that they grow very deliberately with a certain flair. I like Haggle, I like Metaspy, I like SI (I hate stocksite), and I like Hot100. They build tools that would be worth enduring an ad. I think this issue has more upward potential. Eenie P.S. I really hate stocksite. I really really hate it. Please make it better and get rid of that stuff on the left side. The java ticker is pretty annoying too, btw. I hate using YHOO, but stocksite gives me no choice.
