Maurice - There were several articles and an obituary in the local San Diego paper, the Union Tribune. He was a glider enthusiast and died at 79 in a glider crash with the head of the Smithonian Aeronautical Musuem. About 1 1/2 weeks ago. Articles said nothing but good things about him, apparantly he lived a very interesting and honorable life. He was CEO of COHU for many years and fought a takeover of COHU in the 70's by some questionable investment groups that were later implicated in several scams. He also was responsible for COHU's investment in the semiconductor test equipment field. Schwan was named the new Chairman of the Board at a special meeting of the BOD, and was quoted several times in the articles. All from memory, you should be able to look up the articles in the paper's web site if you want further details. 79 years old, and flying gliders! That is the way I hope to go!
