LVCVA reports visitor increase

Las Vegas' visitor volume increased 8.5 percent in May compared with the same period a year ago, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Hotel occupancy was 92.4 percent and Clark County gaming revenue increased by 11.6 percent, according to figures released Tuesday.
The number of passengers traveling through McCarran International Airport rose 9.6 percent and automobile traffic from Southern California to Las Vegas increased by 17 percent.
