OneMain.com Announces Aggressive Billing
Integration Strategy With Lucent's Kenan Systems

VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21, 1999--OneMain.com (Nasdaq:
ONEM), a leading U.S Internet Service Provider, today announced an
agreement with Kenan Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent
Technologies (NYSE:LU), to help deliver a single, fully integrated billing
system for its growing customer base.

According to Dewey Shay, OneMain.com's Chief Financial Officer, the
Company expects to complete its aggressive integration strategy by the
middle of 2000 and is on track to have over 200,000 customers under one
billing system by the end of the current year.

"We are confident that Kenan Systems' expertise, combined with that of our
director of billing and financial systems, Carlos Escaffi, one of the industry's
premier billing system integrators, will greatly accelerate our integration
strategy," said Shay. "He and his team have many years of consulting
experience with implementing ISP billing and financial systems and
streamlining business processes."

Working with OneMain.com's billing team of seven experienced and
Kenan-trained integration experts hired during the second quarter, Kenan
Systems is providing a scalable software solution (Arbor(R)/BP) that will
support a wide array of Internet products and services. This agreement is part
of OneMain.com's integration strategy to sustain continued customer growth.

"As an industry leader, Kenan Systems will play a critical role in assisting the
billing team in successfully implementing our billing integration strategy," said
Mr. Escaffi. "Kenan Systems has a convergent billing system that provides
flexibility for a rapidly changing Internet market and supports the localized
interface of our geographic online communities."

Geographic communities are central to OneMain.com's unique business
strategy. Unlike the large virtual communities offered by traditional ISPs,
OneMain.com is building online communities based on where its customers
live. This focus will enable OneMain.com customers to enjoy a unique online
experience and access a powerful source of local content that will positively
impact their daily lives.

Based in Vienna, Virginia, OneMain, com is one of the ten largest independent
Internet service providers with approximately 450,000 subscribers. Known as
"your hometown Internet," OneMain.com provides Internet access and related
services throughout the United States to individuals and businesses located
predominantly in communities outside large metropolitan areas. These
customers have traditionally been under-served by national on-line service
providers and a great opportunity exists to meet their growing demand for
on-line services in these markets.

Kenan Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent
Technologies, is an award-winning provider of software products and services
that answer the specific billing, customer care, order management and
decision-support requirements of leading single- and multi-service carriers in
the communications industry world-wide, including mobile and wireline voice
and data services, broadband and Internet services. Kenan Systems is
headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts with offices throughout North
America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Additional information about Lucent
