Hi michigan,

The fog cleared today and I found my tee-off of yesterday
is long and on the fairway! (I was aware of the Sepracor pending
sale but couldn't figure whether stock would go lower but anyhow
thought it represented good value before yesterday's close).

This was my first purchase of CHRX (been itching to get into it
because I used to sell pharm intermediates and even did
distribution for an enzyme co making lipases applicable for
chiral resolutions, saw in CHRX's SEC filings that enzymatic is one route they follow among others), agree with your analysis about the prospects, though my experience is a bit out of date.
chiral compounds were very much on the minds of the majors I
used to sell to like Merck 3-4 years ago. Main caveat would be new resolution technologies or compounds developed by competitors.
I like the US-UK combination, strengths from both sides. And wait
until the dollar goes in the opposite direction, it would add to
earnings. Also major pharm cos should in fact farm out the
chemistry, when I was selling chemicals many of them had large
in house staffs and facilities for process research and doing synthesis as well as new drug development, one would think they would pare this down now as CHRX's statements indicated
