The second half of 1997 saw Asian economic fears ("The Asian Flu") which caused a deep selloff in the overall world and U.S. Markets.

The second half of 1998 saw Russian, Brazilian, and Long Term Capital issues that caused a deep selloff in the world markets again. In each of these cases MSFT performed reasonably well for a stock with its beta. Particularly in 98 when the stock was only below 100 for a minimal amount of time during a bear market.

Do you expect MSFT selloff in the second half of 99 to be caused by some market selloff caused by some large external event? Or is it questions about MSFT guidance and business as you indicated in earlier posts?
