It's a moot question as to what is going on behind the scenes. On the surface it appears that GFIN is just down with the market and may move up again soon. I'm like you, reluctant to grossly overweight the portfolio in any one area or stock (I am stuck with one such bit of stupidity for the time being - live and learn). Since they are in the temporary credit loan business, the cost of money could go up with a Fed interest increase today. Can they conveniently pass along the increase to borrowers? Possibly. A lot of the contracts are just coming on line this quarter so may not show up for a quarter or two at the bottom line. I strongly agree that the reward potential far exceeds the risk at the current PE. I'm holding tight.
