Bill, I don't know what your agenda is, but Freeport is a publicly traded company, and you are right, they would get sued back to the stone age (and don't assume that, just because they are based in Louisiana, their home-state courts would be conservative and pro-big business -- have you read any of the latest products liability decisions from the Mississippi Supreme Court, or how about that recent decision from Florida or where ever which upheld the law allowing the attorney general to sue the tobacco companies?).

My superficial evaluation of the situation is that Jim-Bob has the "cojones" needed to keep the indonesian office in line if need be, so I would expect any antics in the local office to end pronto once Jim-Bob found out and stepped in to set things straight.

Now, I doubt Jim-Bob takes kindly to having his and Freeport's integrity questioned in this public forum. So, if you have any factual basis to question Freeport's integrity or to support your assertions of corruption in the Indonesian office of Freeport, let's hear it. Otherwise, please keep a lid on your bag of snakes.
