I think this time you sort of cheated. You said "even when they are actually overrepresented" as a statement that YOU disagreed with their assessment. If you think they are overrepresented, you must have some definition of conservative in your mind, just as you had to have some definition of liberal in your mind to oppose my statement that the press is liberal.

If you don't want to use or define labels, it's hardly kosher to then complain about others' uses of them. I think you're trying to have it both ways, and you don't get to, at least not among the group of brains on this thread. <g>

It's pretty clear from what you posted that you think the media is not overly liberal, but indeed that it is overly conservative. But you have avoided getting tied down to that by keeping saying you're only reporting what others say, while actually reporting your own views. Which is exactly what I see in the liberal members of the media as a whole--this claim to objectivity while exercising actual subjectivity.
