Botched Circumcisions Kill Three: Dr.DS{Habib}Gumby Sought JOHANNESBURG (Rooters) - Three South African youths have died this month as a result of botched circumcisions, the South African Press Association (SAPA) reported Tuesday. Citing hospital sources in the country's Eastern Cape Province, SAPA said the three youths had died on different days earlier this month. It said that since May, 18 young men had been admitted to Cecilia Makiwane Hospital in the Eastern Cape for complications stemming from circumcisions gone awry. Circumcision ceremonies are a traditional rite of passage for adolescents from South Africa's Xhosa tribe and injuries from the operation are not uncommon, especially in rural areas. But natives are up in arm - really - against Dr.DS{Habib}Gumby who, it has been said, continues to operate using a blade from his lawn mower's and a bottle of TBird.
