The JFK Jr. coverage is just one more example of the "piling on the football" syndrome, IMO. I have not watched a single TV newscast since this story broke, Christopher, and have only glanced at newspaper stories. (I was never a Camelot junkie.) Even at that, I remember items about JFK Jr.'s rashness. There is something about it, for example, in the Washington Post lead story today. As for conservatives extolling their hero, you might also check out the Charles Krauthammer op-ed piece, also in today's Washington Post. Frankly, I was amazed at how reverential it was, considering Krauthammer's usually combatively "conservative" Weltanschauung. Sorry I can't give any URLs. Can't get access to the WP web site this evening, for some reason. Joan
