Agree w/ you, Harry, something is finally brewing at AMEX... I just got a verrrry interesting letter from them with an "important notice about downloading your American Express account into Quicken."

Basically stated that AMEX is "converting our system to Open Financial Exchange (OFX), a new industry standard designed to improve online communication between financial institutions and customers."

OFX was footnoted as "the standard developed by CheckFree Corp., Intuit Inc. and Microsoft Corp."

The letter goes on to say that to continue to download statement information into Quicken and use the new OFX server (transition to be completed "later this year,") you need to upgrade to at least Quicken 99. No mention of bill presentment, but it's nice to see some activity here.

Anyway -- it's been humorous reading everyone's tick-by-tick analysis of where CKFR's stock is going these days. Hope to see some decent news out of CF some time soon, so that there might add a little meat to the bones of the thread...

Also, it would be nice to drum up some enthusiasm for the August gathering -- I know that Ron's been working hard on the plans, and I hope to pitch in as soon as the workload lets up a bit...
