In the event of problems with K7 ramp (technical or sales), I would be surprised if Jerry has no backup plan to either
a) fill the fab, or
b) sell the fab

Neither of those are attractive options for the longs but I am talking about worst case scenarios here. And if you look at the current valuation most of the wall street types believe this worst case.

I think Jerry knows the clock is ticking - the next 12 months is make or break for him (I don't mean make or break for AMD)

I just got off the ATML conf call a few minutes back and flash is booming with no end in sight with respect to growth. If Jerry dumps Fab30 (or the microprocessor biz, if more drastic scenario is to be contemplated) and uses the remaining capacity for comms and flash, this stock is at least $30 stock overnight but neither Jerry nor majority of the stockholders want the company to go in that direction - at least not now.

Its AMD time to flourish or flounder.
