I agree with and endorse the spirit of your post.

I was very close to deleting this thread from my bookmarks because of the drift from the main subject.

But in fairness, you have to admit CNBC has devoted a LOT of time covering this event, even during business hours. When you cover something to this extent, you are bound to bring the nut cases out of the woodwork.

So it's a close call, but I would say that the comments are on topic (although I admit that were the comments directed at CNBC coverage, per se, rather than on the situation itself, they would be more so).
