Hi Greg...As a long (15 years) Mac user, I have to give you one person's opinion, re:AAPL.

If you look at what I do (advertising – with a concentration in graphics), the Mac has been a religion over the years. It was almost a license to print money. Fortunately, I was an early user of Mac equipment in Dallas in the mid 80's when every one else in my industry said it was just a toy.

Now I'm beginning to think that my detractors back in the mid 80's were a little prophetic.

Now don't get me wrong, AAPL is doing some great things, but MY concern is that they are turning away from those of us who ”brung em to the dance”; the graphic community. It's more and more evident AAPL is concentrating on the ”appliance” market and, can that sector be all that profitable in the long haul?

My next workstation purchase will be a DELL because I see the writing on the wall. It's sad, but true!
