Maybe I should me insulted????
  :-)
Nah, only if I were stupid and in need of "outside" answers to find my way.
  btw: I AM NOT PENTECOSTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Much of what we have talked about has been trivial in the greater scheme of things. I want to make it quite clear that I have studied other (non-christian) religious ideas. I find them to be a product of mankinds wisdom, much like the writings of Plato or other human thinkers. They do not originate with God.
You tell me to read spiritual texts. The point I have been trying to make is the value of the bible. It is God's word. Read it! it has a very different message than is being taught by many self proclaimed christians of our modern era.
What is truly important, and should be included in any discussion of religion is the kingdom of God.
Matthew 6:9,10; "You must pray, then, this way: 'Our father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let you kingdom come. Let your will take place as in heaven, also upon the earth.'" --Here the sanctifying of God's name is closely associated with the coming of his kingdom.
One of the things this kingdom will accomplish is to unify all creation in worship of the one true God.
Revelation 5:13; | 15:3,4; "And every creature that is in heaven and on earth and underneath the earth and on the sea, and all the things in them, I heard saying: 'To the one sitting on the throne and to the lamb be the blessing and the honor and the glory and the might forever and ever. '" | "Great and wonderful are your works, Jehovah God, the Almighty. Righteous and true are your ways, King of eternity. Who will not really fear you, Jehovah, and glorify your name, because you alone are loyal? For all the nations will come and worship before you, because your righteous decrees have been made manifest." |
