I'm willing to give Arch a wide berth as he was looking for a top on the harmonic convergence on aug 24-25th 1987 and he was calling for a crash afterward. He was quoted in USA today the day after the crash, as having made those forecasts in early Aug 1987. He has also won a few Hulbert awards as the most profitable market timer, including have the most profitable period of overlapping 5 year returns in the past 10 years. We are really seeing a lot of volatility in several markets this week. including US stocks, Currencies, the ags, and crude.
