Would someone help with this question please? If someone is short a stock which subsequently is delisted by an exchange, is the short position kept on that person's account indefinitely but the person does not have access to the proceeds from the sale, or does the person make 100% on his short (minus commission) and have access to these funds? If the stock is no longer tradable it seems to me that there is no way to officially close out the short position. Anyone with first-hand experience in a situation like this?
