This deja vus me so much of the pattern of Lucent at the git-go ... even similar reasons for both the spinoffs (that r & d and expenses to meet sales orders unbalancing results of other divisions) and the unstoppability of the movement. It's that whole thing of not a zillion shares out there yet, too... when it's before The First Split. So Pals, I think it might be Doubleplusgood at this point to Carve It In Stone - a Techride Rule that when a blue chip tech spinoff is coming because of new product expenses and tool-up costs to meet future orders unbalancing the whole.... might be doubleplusgood to perk up ears and (as Blue sez) start looking in the couch & the car seats for some loose change to throw at it, at least.
