Bluegreen,

Do reserve saying such things just about Xoma?

No - if you follow my postings you should know that I have a strong cynical streak with most biotechs.

(In fact, if you don't have a cynical streak, then biotech investing is probably the wrong area for you. <g> )

I am basically reacting here to claims that the purchaser of the stock has seen the results. I personally believe that this sale means that neither the company or the purchaser knows the results, and like the rest of us, they are uncertain of the outcome.

BTW, if the results are good, the company could sell stock at a higher price, even before FDA approval. So the FDA lottery is not relevant to my point.

The company is basically acting cautiously, which is likely a smart thing to do.
