Oh Jim, you're missing the forest for the trees. Do you deny that computer prices are dropping rapidly? There are in fact free pcs (for the end user) subsidized mostly by ISP's. Yes, the ISP's are paying all of 499 for those pcs, but those prices have been dropping rapidly. Companies like Dell will be very cost conscious when they are giving pcs away to the consumer as Internet devices and the added cost of Rambus will be unacceptable. You may think that this is a niche market, but I think this is the mass market. That's why you're long, and I'm not.
As for all of the post purchase costs that you discuss, they have nothing to to with the market size for Rambus, so I will just ignore your commentary about that.
