Excess capacity now is more than 30%. A tax cut will in no way be inflationary. Especially one as tiny as the timid Republicans are talking about.

A tax cut could increase inflationary pressures by putting more dollars in the consumers' pockets with no more goods necessarily being available to spend them on.
