I have no problem with trying to get Hollywood to tone down the guns and violence, the problem is I can't see how to do it. For example Private Ryan was fine in terms of violence whereas Natural Born Killers is not, but how to differentiate? But if there is a way to achieve that end, I'm all for it. All I can tell you is that I have lived in a few places in the US and everybody sees the same films. In Texas they see the same movies as out here. But walking to your car at 11pm at a coyboy bar in Texas requires and armed guard (bouncer) person. Here, no problem, we don't have guards at clubs. What is the difference, I think it is guns. There is a huge difference between a woman walking alone at night near the stanford campus vs. near the UT campus. Fraternity boys with guns is a huge accident waiting to happen and I can't believe anybody can deny that.
