IS, most of the facts on UAI were available before you or I ever posted on them. The SEC filings were there already, the move to the AMEX had already happened. Even the comment by the CEO on shortselling happened before we found the stock.

It should have been possible to find the stock earlier.

Your idea of searching overvalued AMEX stocks in particular might be good.

I think a really productive search of AMEX stocks might be a search of stocks that recently moved from the OTC:BB.

Dumbmoney on this thread mentioned another example, CGY

which is an excellent example because it is very comparable to UAI. It was a reverse merger on the BB, it moved to the AMEX. At the time of its move, the SEC had made comments on its annual report, which required that the company amend the 10k. The AMEX allowed CGY to get listed before it was certain that the SEC would not have further comments. Later, last May, the AMEX figured out that the SEC still had comments on the 10k, and AMEX halted trading.

So it looks like the AMEX is really sloppy in its DD. Its policy seems to be list now, research later. That might allow us some more opportunities.

Here's the otc-bb web page, if you want to look at the daily lists to see which stocks quit trading on the BB due to a move to AMEX.
