OT - I am working on a project with a Canadian maniac who invests only in Canadian mining stocks, notoriously the worst POS companies on the planet. His assumption is that since the companies are worthless, they must only make money for the owners and officers if they successfully manipulate the price and move the shares appropriately. This guy establishes in his mind what the range is and tries to run with the owner/operators. He follows basic rules: only buy $1,000 worth and always sell on a 50% rise. When they crash back to earth, he's back in with his 1k again. These are his only investment, not a real company among 'em and the dude has almost 300 of 'em. It's a riot reading his portfolio list, every 5 lines is Delisted, Halted, Bankrupt, or my favorite In Deep S$%t. His method is about the wackiest I've ever seen, but it works well for him. Every once in a blue moon, one of them accidentally finds gold or something, but he's out at 50% without question or qualm. Darn unusual approach and requires a lot of patience.
