How is his BIO worse than Hellman??? Hellman wasnt exactly overwhelming either.

Re: Capellas
1. He's only been w/ CPQ since August 98. He's not exactly a middle manager that has been involved in CPQ's descent for the past few years.

2. How long would it have taken Hellman (who has no experience in Tech) to understand the technology and company culture.
Meanwhile, CPQ wouldve lost even more market share while he was making the adjustment.

3. Even if the Street doesnt like him, who cares, how much lower can this stock go. Are we afraid it might fall back to 22....oooh scary. I am sure that most investors dont care whether it goes from 22- 28. We want long term growth to re-establish the company as a leader and not an also-ran. Proactive not reactive. We need a CEO who has a vision with great execution skills. Is that Capellas? who knows.

I want to hear him and give him some time before rushing to judgment.
