i agree a bounce from here seems likely. however, the worries about the yen are not idle. if the yen continues to march up it would be a sign of international capital flows out of U.S. into japanese assets and almost certainly result in more weakness in both the bond and stock markets. it could also trip up a few hedge funds engaged in the carry trade. whether the world economy is doing fine is open to debate; the U.S. economy certainly is.
