"Certainly, every summer, the huge exodus from northern Europe to southern must involve a very large financial transfer south too. Germans in their Mercedes heading south are as common as geese heading south from Canada when winter approaches. It would be nice if they each had a Globalstar car installation." You are right on with the migration, but I am afraid that the only reason that would carry G* phones in their cars would be that each Cell covering a particular stretch of Autobahn does not have sufficient capacity when they pack them in bumper-to-bumper.
