Not a surprising result given the nature of the mouth environment.
You just don't know what people are going to put in it that could influence the test, and possibly block a positive reading. In fact, many of the people who have positive HIV results may have gotten the bug from being indiscriminate about what they have put in their mouths in the past....#;-\]

Blood tests are much less interfered with as the circulatory system is a very stable enviroment especially compared to the mouth.

IMO False negatives are worse than false positives for a screening assay (although not too comforting for the victims of the false postives while they are awaiting a reliable retest).

Well back to the drawing board for them, good news for CMTR.
