Paul - RE: "Intel's $500,000,000 investment in Micron was done when Micronwas selling for $31.

At a current price of $50, that investment has appreciated by 62% - in less than 12 months!!!"

What do you think is more important to Intel -

A. A 62% appreciation in their Micron investment

or

B. The timely release of DRDRAM which is utilized by Camino.

If Intel's investment in Micron was of help so far, DRDRAM could have been in a more adequate supply this September. And since RDRAM isn't going to be in mass quantities until next year, Intel may have to support PC133 RAM. If Intel supports PC133, Via will be able to sell more chipsets, which clearly means fewer expensive Camino (compared to BX) sales for Intel which means less $$$.

Sure, Intel makes TONS and TONS and TONS of money, but wouldn't you like it if they could make even more money?
