If taxes are a consideration and you think that a stock will trend down or sideways, then sell a covered call on a raly. I have did a little a few in the money calls just before the crash (wish I had sold calls on everything) and now an glad I did. That locks me in on those stocks until April but that's OK; now I can buy more at these low prices.
