Freak, it's not a matter of someone trying to bring him down, it's more a matter of not elevating him to Godhood. I think it's pretty sad that this country has to look to someone of such an ordinary nature to make into a hero.

He seemed like a nice, personable young man, and it's always a little saddening to see the young die.

But it's much less so when their death is caused by their own misadventure...and it's damnable when that misadventure causes the death of others.

If a person has a neurotic need to descend into a state of anguish over the loss of someone who seemed destined to be an answer in some future game of Trivial Pursuit, then let them wail away.

But I'll not weep for him, nor for the Kennedy family member that died of a drug overdose, nor for the one that died of injuries received from having skied into a tree. There are too many fine people who are taken from us to mourn the loss of that lot.
