Starowl..Good Post . I too just don't see the internet as being anywhere near ready for VOD within the next 5 years. Cable is firmly entrenched in the marketplace. When I want to be entertained, be it a movie, concert or sporting event, I turn my brain off and sit back and relax. That's what you do when you sit in front of a TV...turn your brain off. When you sit in front of a computer, you turn your brain on. Of course there may be a way to download movies over the internet to a DVD system from which you can play it on your HDTV in the future but it will most likely be downloaded from CCUR servers with some sfa.com company providing the capability. So CCUR probably isn't thinking that their current VOD model is only good until the internet gets going.. they will be a player when that technology makes it economically feasible and user friendly.
