eSchool Online is a suite of Web-based software consisting of a student client, an administrative client for site managers, an administrative client for teachers, and an authoring client. eSchool Online uses patented technology to integrate streamed video with the automatic delivery of complementary Web material, collaborative functionality and embedded assessment, all within the browser.
Java-based, eSchool is designed to facilitate a structured exploration of the Web, optimizing the potential of the Internet as a vehicle:

eSchool Online can be used for the delivery of on-demand or live, synchronous content.
eSchool Online's collaborative functionality includes "live" moderated chat, moderated whiteboard, and threaded discussion. In addition, multiple choice, short answer, and essay questions can easily be integrated into the eSchool Online content experience. Student responses to questions embedded in the program are saved in a database that is accessed through the software so that teachers and administrators can measure program impact. Finally, all chat messages are saved in the database, allowing teachers and administrators access to additional assessment data.
The instructional designers from HyperTV Networks work collaboratively with state departments of education, distance learning networks, and large school districts to customize instructional and staff development content that corresponds to the appropriate statewide and national frameworks.
