"Iomega wants to increase the number of outstanding shares ..." NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!

The board wants to increase the number of AUTHORIZED shares. There has been nothing said about the number of shares ISSUED. This is very common for companies, it can give them the flexibility to do a lot of things: stock split (Yeah, right, not now), "stock incentive options," "poison pills," stock available for buying other companies, whatever. **Note, I do not have any idea if the Board has anything in mind now, but the flexibility to do something is usually a good idea.**

Relax.
